Dental Emergencies

Dental pain and emergencies are a stressful experience for anyone. Dr. Bemis welcomes non-scheduled patients with significant tooth pain, recently fractured teeth, or alarming oral changes to call our office. An appointment for evaluation and diagnosis can be scheduled the same day. During this visit, Dr. Bemis will diagnose and reassure the patient as to their condition. If necessary, Dr. Bemis will relieve the malady and have the patient scheduled so that definitive treatment can be rendered.

Root Canals

Severely decayed, fractured, or otherwise compromised teeth may still be saved with a simple endodontic procedure commonly known as a root canal. In 9 years of practice, Dr. Bemis has developed a keen interest in this aspect of dentistry and has successfully saved many teeth from extraction through his meticulous endodontic treatment. Dr. Bemis uses the latest root canal techniques to ensure a predictable outcome for his patients and will endodontically treat all teeth including, incisors, bicuspids, molars, crowned, lacerated, and previously treated teeth.

Tooth Extractions

Having attended his residency in the South Bronx, Dr. Bemis gained advanced experience in the simple and surgical extraction of teeth. New Leaf Family Dental can remove fractured teeth, endodontically treated teeth, severely decayed root tips, and other compromised teeth. Dr. Bemis takes pride in a non-traumatic outcome to these procedures and will do so in a patient and calming manner. After removal of the tooth, Dr. Bemis will offer the patient options as to how replacement of the lost tooth can be accomplished, including implant restorations, bridges, or dentures.
